The changes of component and property of pitch road binder modified by rubber during ageing were studied by the heat ageing.In contrast to asphalt for pavement,the vaporization loss of pitch road binder modified was more than 20%,therefore,it might be considered that the vaporization loss of solvent oil affected on the component and property of pitch road binder at high temperature.Result showed that the oxidation of road binder was covered by the vaporization loss of solvent oil at higher temperature(130℃),while the property of road binder was in a steady state at lower temperature(60℃).The main reason caused vaporization loss of solvent oil was that there were a lot of high volatile polyaromatics containing in the pitch road binder.It was found that content of heptene soluble decreaesd,meanwhile,that of toluene insoluble increased during ageing.In addition,there was a extreme value of ductility during ageing.The key of modification was distillation of solvent oil.It put forward a direction to further improve its quality.
